1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OvalCode ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OvalCode provides software tools for reading, modifying, and managing vehicle module configurations on supported Ford vehicles. The Service includes a desktop application, mobile application, and web-based resources.

3. Vehicle Modification Disclaimer

Important: Modifying your vehicle's software settings carries inherent risks. By using OvalCode, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for any modifications made to your vehicle
• OvalCode provides tools and guidance, but cannot guarantee that modifications will not affect your vehicle's performance, safety, or warranty
• You should review your vehicle's warranty terms before making modifications
• OvalCode is not liable for any damage, malfunction, or warranty claim arising from the use of our software
• You will always create a backup before making any modifications (our software does this automatically, but you should verify)

4. Right to Repair

OvalCode operates under the principles established by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which protects consumers' rights to repair and modify products they own. Manufacturers must prove that a modification caused a failure to deny warranty coverage.

5. Pricing & Payments

• Free Tier: Diagnostics, code reading, and backup viewing are free forever
• Pro License ($99): One-time payment for full coding capabilities on unlimited vehicles
• Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes
• All sales are final. Refunds may be issued at our discretion within 30 days of purchase if the software does not function as described

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use the Service to modify vehicles you do not own or have authorization to modify
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Modify emissions-related systems in violation of the Clean Air Act or equivalent laws

7. Intellectual Property

OvalCode and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by OvalCode and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. OvalCode is not affiliated with Ford Motor Company.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OvalCode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, vehicle functionality, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
